This is "Baxter". He is from our January 2004 litter sired by Ch. Mystic's Peridox TD out of Ch. Shelley's Tudor Rose. Baxter fulfills our goal of breeding beautiful, healthy Springers that conform to the breed standard and have the stable, loving temperaments that make them the best family companions possible.

At eight weeks, before he left home.
Baxter went to California to live with Nicole and Chuck Bellemare. Read an exerpt from the letter Melanie received from them on Valentines Day, 2005-

"A friend of mine recently decided to give back her German Shepherd to the breeder because she was aggressive and out of control. I was telling the story to Chuck and we thought we should just write you a note and let you know how much we adore Baxter and how absolutely perfect he is and how thankful we are to have him.

He loves to go in the car and goes to work everyday with Chuck. He is so well behaved and socialized, he even gets to meet with clients! Everyone just loves him.

We have taken him on several trips to Oregon and Yosemite and have never had any trouble, he just has such a great temperament and is always so good. He loves to go the the beach and run in the sand. We live about 25 minutes from Monterey and so we go quite often. As soon as we get close, he knows it and can't wait to get out and play.

He is absolutely the most loving dog, either of us have had. He loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep on our bed. Especially lazy weekend days, he loves to sleep in!

We can't believe he is already a year old, he has grown into a wonderful dog who we dearly love. Thank you so much again. We just wanted to let you know you did a great job breeding him and we appreciate him everyday!"

Happy Valentine's Day!

Baxter is pictured to the right on the beach in Monterey. We want to thank Nicole and Chuck for giving Baxter the training, socialization and love that it takes to raise a charming puppy into a happy, well-adjusted family member. And thanks for the lovely letter!
Baxter has grown up! Here are some exerps from the note Nicole sent to Melanie on October 12, 2005-"Here are a few pictures we took of Baxter a few weeks ago. He is doing great. He picks up things so fast and is really coming into his own. He loves to please, and we just adore him. Actually, everyone who meets him adores him!

Chuck's work has a halloween costume contest for all the dogs that come to work-Baxter is going to be dogzilla! LOL We just about died when we put his costume on! Such a cutie with a good personality. He loves the costume! Chuck will bring his camera and we will send pics of the contest".

Well, we can't wait to add pictures of Baxter in his Halloween costume either! For now, here are two new pictures of grown up Baxter.
Stay tuned in November for the halloween pics!
Baxter continues to thrive and brings great joy and companionship to his owners. Here is the newest letter from Nicole and Chuck, along with the much awaited Halloween photos!

"Just wanted to send a quick Baxter update and send the Halloween Dogzilla photos! As you can see, he was quite a hit at Chuck’s work! They had a dog costume contest for all the dogs who go to work. Everyone won!

Baxter is such a joy. We dearly love him and can’t remember what it was like without him. We can hardly believe it has been two years now! He learns things so quickly, and is quite a character. He is great at playing ball and bringing it back, he knows his toys by name and can bring them to us, and he gets his leash when we grab the car keys or our tennis shoes for a walk. What he is most known for though, is his super “love dog” personality. He snuggles close when you give him a hug, he likes to sit next to you on the couch and he goes crazy for kisses. Everyone comments on how loving he is.

We hope you enjoy the photos and will send more soon!"

Warm wishes,

Nicole & Chuck Bellemare

Baxter's family loves him so much, they decided to get him a baby 'brother'. Meet Tommy, who is by Ch. Ocoee New Beginnings out of Ch. Legendary Shimmer. Tommy and Baxter quickly became best friends, as you can see from the photo collage of them together on Monterey Beach.
Here is a note that Nicole sent to Melanie after they had had Tommy for a few weeks-

Hi Melanie,

Tommy continues to be a joy, he is such a character. His personality is so funny and he is always smiling. He makes us laugh. He is the best and smartest pup in his kindergarden class and twice now has gotten to "demonstrate" how to do the trick/lesson of the week because he picks it up so quickly! We dearly love him.

Baxter and Tommy have become best buddies. They nap together, play together and romp around the yard together. When Grandpa and Tommy do not come over, Baxter will look out the window waiting for them. We have worked out a schedule where Grandpa takes Tommy on the weekdays and then he spends the weekend with us, going to work on Fridays with Chuck. He has been a great boy at work and learns how to be a well behaved pup by watching Baxter closely and then mimicking him. It is really cute to watch. In September they are both signed up for the Intermediate training class together.

Baxter is just as wonderful as ever. We realize just how much English he understands in working with Tommy. He is very patient and loving and a great help in teaching Tommy. They love to go on walks, walking side by side. Last week we took them to Monterey for a walk along the coast and we actually drew a crowd because they were so darn cute together. You woud think we had celebrity pups! Everyone we passed, stop to tell us how gorgeous they were..and both know it too..they just wiggled their little tails in aggreement! :)

Well that is about it for now! I will continue to send updates about our dynamic duo. Thanks for sending Tommy to us. He is turning into a wonderful dog and companion and we are all desperately in love with him.

All the best,

Nicole & Chuck

Tommy graduated at the head of his kindergarten class. Congratulations!

As you can see below, Baxter and Tommy enjoyed their Christmas (2006) so much that they had to go back to work with Chuck to recuperate. It's a hard life but somebody has to do it!
